An Employee Assistance Program That Works For You And The Employee.

Through Interface's Employee Assistance Program (EAP), employees and their family members (participants) may access assistance for a wide variety of problems that affect not only their lives at home but also in the workplace. Because Interface does not operate as a staff model Employee Assistance Program, its provider network of licensed clinicians are established in private practice and provide a more qualified match for each patient's individual needs.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counseling sessions are completely confidential and free of charge to participants. The person seeking assistance calls a national toll free number. Our care coordinators gather information from the participant and make a referral to a clinician in the their local area. Our EAP allows your participants to present any problem as the reason for their contact. This flexibility is very effective in dealing with denial of the actual problem, which is often the case with addiction. Not only is the EAP helpful for employees seeking assistance on their own but is also a valuable tool for supervisors in dealing with difficult employees and their job related problems. Supervisors can use the EAP for referrals with employees whose personal problems impact their ability to function in the workplace. A supervisory referral can often assist in identifying and resolving the cause of the employee's problem.

Through our active program promotion, we achieve an average annual Employee Assistance Program (EAP) utilization rate that is 4.5 percent higher than the national average. On average, 65 percent of the cases opened are resolved within the allotted EAP sessions and are not referred to the health plan for additional treatment. This produces not only an immediate savings for the employer but also a long-term reduction in both mental health and medical costs.

Interface's Employee Assistance Program offers you the following benefits:

  • Broad-brush Employee Assistance Program including counseling, legal/financial assistance, and on-line work/life and wellness resources
  • Access to our nationwide network of licensed and experienced providers
  • Employee orientations that include tri-folds and wallet cards
  • Management training sessions utilizing custom manuals with sample forms and procedures
  • Ongoing promotional materials including pay stuffers, training videos, posters, and a monthly electronic newsletter
  • Quarterly utilization reports with demographics
  • Critical Incident Stress Debriefing after a qualifying traumatic incident in the workplace
  • Total quality management through surveys and ongoing communication with participants and providers

Interface's Employee Assistance Program provides two important functions. First, as an assessment vehicle, the therapist can determine the true nature of your employee's problem. Second, the Employee Assistance Program provides short-term problem resolution for many situations that can impact your employee's life. In this respect, the Employee Assistance Program works like a mental health wellness program.
