Advantages of Interface's MMHP Over Traditional UR & PPO

  • Matches patient to an appropriate provider -- both EAP and managed care -- traditional PPO provides a PPO book and the patient matches themselves to a provider -- our integrated program matches the patient through triage based on the following:
     

    1. Experience & training of provider for the presenting problem

    2. Level of care under medical plan based on an EAP assessment up-front
       

  • Manages all levels of care -- unlike traditional UR which is reactive and only manages inpatient, our integrated program manages all levels of care -- to provide successful problem resolution for mental health, outpatient treatment must be coordinated and managed -- traditional UR does not provide this -- our integrated program:
     

    1. Provides PPO discounts with greater access to mental health providers

    2. Utilizes step-down approach to manage and direct all levels of treatment thereby achieving higher problem resolution while reducing costs
       

  • Traditional health plan design creates hurdles for participants to seek treatment - our EAP increases utilization of treatment early on by removing these hurdles:
     

    1. Financial -- >> co-pay and deductible -- >> EAP side of the integrated program makes available short-term counseling with no co-pay or deductible

    2. Confidentiality -- >> employees are concerned about employer access to medical plan records -- >> EAP part of the program assures confidentiality
